SINGAPORE BLUE

In August, my parents moved from Anchorage, Alaska to Singapore, and that same month I was lucky enough to visit them.  During my stay, my dad kept telling me how he wanted blue pieces of artwork in a modernist style for the interior of their home.  His vision was to match the blue of their art with the ocean, which can be seen out of their high rise apartment.  Being the designer that I am I decided to make him these blue posters for his birthday.

WINTERFEST

My group members and I at WSU were invited by our clients to come and display our work at their Winterfest Party! We were able to talk about our work and get the community inspired about the design of the museum.

ST. JOHN STORE FRONT

One of my projects at WSU was a co-design project with the residents of St. John, which is a small rural town in Washington.  As a smaller portion of the larger St. John project, my team member Anna and I were assigned to re-design a new store front for a downtown museum.  Residents liked our store front design so much that they made it into a t-shirt for distribution at their annual Winterfest.

POSTER COMPETITION

This year the School of Design and Construction at WSU is under going a major re-branding!  As a part of the re-branding, WSU design students were asked to design a floor navigation poster for Carpenter Hall.  My design incorporated WSU colors by starting floor one with crimson and ending floor five with gray.  I chose triangles as my graphic pattern because triangles are structurally the strongest shape in the world.  I believe triangles bring together the aspects of design and construction through visual appeal and structural support.

ARCTIC

This is a cool logo that I created for my long time friend and gymnastics coach.  He recently started a hunting business in Anchorage, Alaska that specializes in private hunts.  Not being a hunter this design was a little out of my comfort zone, but I really like how it turned out.  I love animals and would probably cry if I killed one.
